Types of Concrete

Stamped concrete, known for its beautiful and unique patterns, elevates the aesthetic appeal of any space. While it creates an incredible look, it's essential to be aware of its characteristics. The surface can become slippery when wet, including in snowy conditions, and shoveling may pose challenges due to its textured nature. However, the versatility of stamped concrete shines in outdoor applications, such as enhancing patios, serving as a captivating border highlight, or adding flair to covered walkways and decks. When applied thoughtfully, stamped concrete transforms surfaces into extraordinary works of art, making a lasting impression

Brushed Concrete

Brushed concrete, our most popular finish, seamlessly combines aesthetics and practicality. Notable for its easy maintenance, it ensures a visually appealing surface without the need for extensive care. Beyond its attractive appearance, this finish prioritizes safety with its non-slippery texture, making it an ideal choice, especially in areas prone to moisture. Embodying our commitment to functional and stylish solutions, brushed concrete offers a timeless and low-maintenance option without compromising safety and beauty

Smooth concrete, ideal for garage floors, boasts a sleek and easy-to-maintain surface. While its seamless appearance enhances the aesthetics of garage spaces, it is chosen specifically because of its practical benefits. The smooth surface makes cleaning and upkeep easy. Though it can be slippery when wet, making it less suitable for certain outdoor applications, this characteristic is perfect for garage floors.

Exposed Aggregate

Exposed aggregate, featuring a captivating finish with visible rocks, is a popular choice for walkways and driveways, lending a unique touch to outdoor spaces. To maintain its aesthetic appeal, an annual application of concrete sealant is recommended. While exposed aggregate may become slippery when wet, including during snowy conditions, this characteristic doesn't deter those drawn to its visual charm. Notably versatile, this finish goes beyond traditional use; one client even opted for a walkway with glow-in-the-dark rocks, showcasing the adaptability and personalized possibilities of exposed aggregate. Our commitment is not just to create functional surfaces but to turn unique visions into concrete reality, leaving a lasting impression.

Add Colour to Your Project

Concrete dyes can add a stylistic flair to your project. Our concrete suppliers
offer a wide array of colors to choose from. We will provide you with an assortment of swatches that you can select from before ‘the pour’. Once you've selected your desired color, the concrete supplier will mix the color pigment directly into the concrete. This ensures that the color is integrated seamlessly and authentically into the mix.

If you are interested in incorporating colour to
your concrete project, please talk to Mike when discussing your project.

Let’s face it, living in an Alberta climate can take a toll on concrete, the best way to protect your concrete and maximize the life out of your concrete is to seal it. Mike recommends sealing your concrete annually so you can enjoy it year after year. If you would like to have your concrete sealed, ask Mike what your options are.

Tip: Do not use salt on your concrete – salt and harsh chemicals eat away at the surface of the concrete. Sealing your concrete can help.
