Clean-up (on job completion)

  • With Alberta’s freeze and thaw cycle, and our harsh winters, the earth moves and shifts, as a result, concrete can crack. We do take precautions in trying to prevent this from happening by setting a strong base, tamping the base, using and tying rebar, ensuring proper drainage, and installing proper cuts after the concrete is set. But no matter how careful and thorough we are, the reality is your concrete may crack. Be leery of any contractor who guarantees your concrete will not crack.

  • The duration of a job varies depending on its size. Typically, most projects can be completed within 2 to 3 days. However, outdoor jobs may experience delays due to weather conditions. For commercial projects, completion timelines may extend further, particularly considering the overall square footage of the resurfaced area. Rest assured, we strive to efficiently complete every project while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

  • Determining the cost per square foot for your project depends on several factors. Variables such as the current condition of the surface, whether it requires vertical or horizontal overlay, as well as the pattern and color selection, all contribute to the overall pricing of the job. Rest assured, we tailor our pricing to suit your specific needs and preferences, ensuring transparency and accuracy throughout the process.

  • The thickness of the overlay varies depending on the application method. Typically, for horizontal work, the overlay ranges from 1/8” to 3/8”, while for vertical work, it's typically between ¼ to 1”, depending on factors like stamp choice or the desired aesthetic outcome. Rest assured, our team will work closely with you to determine the most suitable thickness for your project to achieve the desired look and functionality.

  • Our concrete suppliers offer a wide array of colors to choose from. We will provide you with an assortment of swatches that you can select from before ‘the pour’. Once you've selected your desired color, the concrete supplier will mix the color pigment directly into the concrete. This ensures that the color is integrated seamlessly and authentically into the mix.

  • The best way to protect your concrete and maximize the life out of your concrete is to seal it. We recommend sealing your concrete annually so you can enjoy it year after year. If you would like to have your concrete sealed, please let Mike know!

Tip: Do not use salt on your concrete – salt and harsh chemicals eat away at the surface of the concrete. Sealing your concrete can help.

We recommend two types of sealers: a water-based sealer and a satin finish water-based seal supreme sealer. The choice of sealer depends on whether we're applying the overlay vertically or horizontally. Each sealer is carefully selected to ensure optimal performance and longevity, tailored to the specific requirements of your project.
